At last, I have managed one, yes the legend RE 350, but yes the 5s, so what if the gears are on the left and the brakes on the right, it is a RE. Since I cud gather my wits, I was fascinated by people riding bikes and that time the Jawa was quite famous and the Rajdoot''''''''''''''''s too, and then heard the bullet is a bike, well, and watchin others kick and rev and ride the bike I thus learnt the art of bikin, that is ridin a bike, and the first bike which I cud lay my hands on was my friends cousin''''''''''''''''s bullet and he was kind enough to let me take a ride with him pillioning, and from santacruz east highway to airport U turn I rode the bike, which surprised the pillion rider too which prompted him to ask me whether I have ridden a bullet before and I proudly stated its for the first time and a bulleteer in me was born, (and that too at the age of 16 without a license) Psst, dont tell the R.T.O.
And then over the years I would just sigh and dream of owing one, and as I grew so did the petrol prices. Then came the years of the small bikes, the 100 cc and wen I heard the sound of Hero Honda 4 stroke and the nearly silent engine I could not resist it as my favourite Bullet was also 4stroke, so in year ''''''''''''''''86 I could purchase one with my parents approval, as the Bullet was more costly and less fuel efficient. Still have the bike with me, though standing in sun, need to have it serviced and the tyres changed and painted to get it on the road,last I rode it was six months back. So over the years the Bullet would haunt me beckon me, and even after havin a car in 2000 and now in 2007 I hankered for a Bullet,head turnin at every thump goin past me.
Ultimately on 22nd of january, 2009 went to the dealer in Bandra and booked a RE to be delivered on 31st of january being BASANT PANCHMI, which also happens to be my weddin anniversary, and it was my wife who on seein my moony face at the thought of a Bullet was after my life to get one and ultimately I did convince my parents too, ahem, stilll we take permission from our elders in money matters, yes. Now, at 49 I will be owin my favourite gentle beast. The lighter bikes might take off fast from the signals, but as i say THE SUBJECTS RUN AHEAD, THE KING COMES LATER ( And please no one is to use this phrase for advertisin, specially the company, as I advise you that this willl be an infringement of my copyright act) wat with me being in the entertainment industry. I dont know whether I will be doing trips or other excitement solo rides which many do, but yes am open to it folks, startin with small trips, (dont know how the back will react). So folks, hope you all know that I am feeling the same feelings wat u felt the first time you had the bullet beneath you. (hmmm more of what I remember will be added later) Thanks.

Hi folks, my silver beauty electra 5s is in my posession and it happened on the 31st of January,2009 at about 4 p.m. in the evening, came home, then went out to show of to my friends who were mighty glad to see it, and one fellow whom i am acquainted with came up to me and said that this bike has one good feature is that a rider never ever falls from it, really impressed me, what with me having taken a number of tumbles on the road on my Hero Honda on oil slicks and the joints of roads wen cementin was takin place.
well folks, so i am a bulleteer now and will share my experience how ever small, and want us bulleteers to help each other on road whereever it be so we really form a close group and why just help bulleteers stranded why not other bikers too, so the slogan will be coined BULLETEERS ALWAYS HELP IN TROUBLED TIMES and that will command not only respect but start a chain of one good thing, any suggestions on this ?
well so evenin is about to set and I am once again gonna roar this beast albeit a little slowly as the running in period is on. Bye for now.

Got my registration number, and the number totals to my fate number and not lucky number as i wanted it to be according to numerology, (yes, I myself practice it since i am into this subject since last 33 yrs) and somwhere in my subconcious i was aware that i will be gettin my fate number as the root of my registration number. In fact, I had specifically told the dealer at Bandra that to have me called up while gettin it registered, and followed up with numerous calls, but their irresponsibility or my fate, call whatever, I did not get the number I desired, I had to accept what was in store for me, well who''''s gonna fight destiny and who has won over it? So one has to flow with the tide eh? Well folks, hope my silver beauty stays faithful to me for coming many years as my Black beauty (Hero Honda) did for 22 yrs and still standin out there like a retired soldier, rarin to have a shot still.And yes I am gonna give a shot to the Indiethumpers too,(hope i hv spelled right) lets see how it works out. And yes my friend yesterday told this beauty looks better than a HARLEY, and i always say that to recognise a bike u have to look at it and read but with BULLET you dont have to look at it, YOU JUST HEAR IT TO KNOW IT IS A BULLET. well guys/gals, happy riding.

HI folks, The bike is goin lovely and running in of the engine at the moment is surely testin patience, but well as the manual suggests to run in for 2000 km at sedate speed to keep it lovely always, so reigning in myself along with the beauty''s horsepower. Sadly the top center bolt holdin the handle has started rustin at the rounds, hmmm quality is it? And well they can offer more cushion on the seat right from the factory, shouldnt they?
Now a days I envy my bike as it gets a second look, and all my life i wish i got one, well, people look at the beauty not at the beast, inst it? well, all for now, ciao.

Hi Bulleteers,
After a long time I am postin this as there was nothin much to post, since am riding the bike here in city, so clockin less kilometers, heck, not even did a trip to pune, somethin or the other croppin up, and monsoons risky for a lone ride.
As I had posted in the first part that I took my bullet from the Bandra Outlet in january 2009, even after much follow up with the staff there, i cud not get my SMART CARD which had a mistake, inspite of givin them right info, so ultimately mailed a complaint to the customercare@royalenfield and after two followups, on tuesday got a mail that my SMART CARD can be collected from the Bandra Oultet, with rectification. The sad part is, why one has to complain, wen the service provided is projected as given by professionals. So the professional part exists only in the word and not in action ? And I guess this is the bane of our country. Well today am goin to collect my SMART CARD, so the wait from JANUARY TO AUGUST end, nearly for a smalll job.

HI folks after a long time am here, coz nothin excitin happened in this time with me and my bullet as i hve not been able to ride long distance due to bloody some reason or the other, anyways i do wanna tell that the honey comb saree guard spoils the beauty of the bullet and i cud not get another good one in mumbai so on 9th i had gone to pune (er, not on bullet) and there i found a good one with vertical line design which fits electra 5s and the bad news is that the company has stopped production of electra 5s due to its pollutin engine materials used, and now i feel guilty that had i waited for one year i wud hve bought a non pollutin one, hmm, anyways not that i am running it daily so i guesss am contributin less to already existin one,
