The route: India - Sweden
The dates: March 2, 2005.

What on earth could persuade 12 Swedish bikers, including two women to ride 12,000 kms, across 10 countries, on a trip spanning 45 days? Nothing else but might we say, to experience the sheer 'esthetic of lostness' in the words of cult ikon and author, Ray Bradbury.

Organised by the Royal Enfield importer in Sweden, the team kicked off the ride to their hometown - Sweden, from the hometown of the legendary classic, Royal Enfield's Chennai factory.

The story indeed had a happy ending, when every one of the riders arrived safe and sound back home in Sweden.
