Well this is not just a ride write-up or a trip story, it’s more of a RE earning more respect for it’s endurance and reliability just when I as a Rider thought I can screw just about any RE engine, hahaha!!
It’s the month of January and new year full of new rides to begin with the RM08 venue is Ramoji Film city Hyderabad,from Delhi it’s 2 route’s
1) Via Agra-bhopal-Nagpur-Hyderabad same till Hyderabad as RM06 and same till Nagpur as RM07
2) Via Jaipur-Udaipur-Ahemdabad-Bombay-Pune-Hyderabad same till Bombay as RM05
I decided to do route 2, my bike is seized with 30000+km to a 500cc piston and open-up for overhaulin, but I do have a Lb350(avl) with me to deliver to a frnd in Bangalore. Gave me the idea and a chance put the Renowed Lb engine to test Rajan Singh style.
The Plan of Action
Ride for 1000+miles in minimum time and no mercy to engine, whereas 1000+miles in 24hrs(Delhi-Pune) is supposedly equal to a ride called Saddle-sore by Iron Butt in United States which people do on Harley’s, Goldwings, Bmw’s,etc…On Express Free Ways.
The Reincarnation
The 2004 Tbird is 19850kms and 4yrs old, 2 name a few rides done on it Delhi-Pondicherry, has 15inch by 140 rear wheel, 4inch extended front, Custom made cosmetics to make it look, feel and a ride quality like a Chopper, so it has to change to stock to put a RE to test, thanx to my Mechanic Shammaji he dedicated his entire two days of hardwork to do The Reincarnation.
Front & rear from my bike, handlebar, fuel tank, custom exchaust for thump and performance, gril taken out of bend pipe, new chain seat with 17tooth front sprocket, new rear brake assembly not just brake shoe, new gear shaft and paddle, new clutch pressue and clutch plate with new clutch chain, resoling the entire magnet coil to my mark(had tough time @Ladakh Trip), new entire timing cover as the old was jam, new timing gear, pampering the engine with synethetic based magnatec(10/40w), a bit bigger fuel jet, the bike is now up to my mark.
