Hi, This is Sumant Chitale (nickname Sum). I stay in a western suburb of mumbai, called Vile Parle. I am a software professional, working as a Team Leader in private software company called Greytrix.
Apart from being a IT person, am into trekking, travelling, exploring new places.... I have always been very passionate about Bikes/Cars. I have formed a group, at my office, with whom I do a lot of trekking, Trips, Outings etc.... Have done many trips all over India, but not majorly on Bike. Have been to South till Kankyakumari by Road (one hell of a drive) then visited almost all the places in North as well.......
I always wanted to have a bigger/powerful bike which would be different than the rest. I never thought that I would be owning a Royal Enfield Thunderbird some day.
Finally, dream came true and I bought 350cc Royal Enfield Thunderbird (a.k.a Black Stallion) in the month of October. The excitement of owning a bull is something that only bulletiers would know. It makes you feel special. It makes you feel different.
When you ride a bull and stop at a Signal, the stares that you get, the looks that you get by other riders and people passing by, guarantees you that You Are a Bullet Rider - Someone Different. You dont get to see Bullets so often and hence makes it all the more fascinating.
On few treks, I had taken my old bike Hero Honda - CBZ (156cc). Bike riding is great fun. After getting a bullet, the excitement reached its new level. I joined Royal Enfield Club, Bombaybikers and then started my own group called Bull Blaze.
In the month of November, I thought of starting this new phase of Bullet Riding, with a ride to one of the most visited temples in Maharashtra i.e. Ashtavinayak temples. It was a ride to Mahad and Pali Ganapati Temples. Covering 252KM in a day, travelling at 70km/hr.
Bullet does a lot of difference to you and your personality and one live example which I experienced during my 1st every Bullet Ride was this
The onlookers get so engrossed with this mean machine, that they actually forget what they are doing. Whenever a Bullet is passed by, with its Thumping and Style, it catches everyones eye.
2nd ride, I did was to Titwala, another temple of Ganapati. The ride was smooth, the roads are good. We travelled almost 190KMs that day, maintaining good speeed. It was a Diwali day, making it all the more special. The atomsphere was good and we had started early
3rd ride, my favorite destination - Tiger Point, Lonavala. I have been there more than 15 times now and still feel like going. I read a trip story of Leh and was so damn excited that I wanted to go for a ride that very day. I decided to go to Tiger Point and that too at Night (the best time to visit that place). It was magical!
The best thing I enjoy about Bullet is its Stability, Speed, Constant Thumping and Comfort Level. The Thunderbird is a Cruiser Model, hence gives a very comofortable position and stylish too. I have named my bullet as Black Stalliion i.e. Gets you Charged with the Power of a Horse
Now since I have a bull to ride on, am looking for more n more trips ahead... I am sure it will be totally a different experience....
Have formed a biking club in mumbai, called Torquehub. Its basically a couple's group and solo riders that we respect, riding to various places in India. People in this group are very helpful, supportive and chillaxed:).

We ride at-least twice in a month from religious places like Bhimashankar, Tryambakeshwar or Cool places like Costal Areas, Various Beaches on the Western Side. We have our own rules. We look out for all kinds of safety measures. One would not worry about anything when you are riding with Torquehub. Its more of a family of bikers than a club.
Recently had another ride in the month of December, which was to a place called Jawahar. Its 150Kms away from mumbai. Awesome road, nice ghaats.
On 24th Dec 2007, I went to Matheran with my bro Rishi. It was just the two of us with our bulls. The road is amazing and really a heaven for any bikers. It was a sudden ride, had never planned and enjoyed a lot.
The best part of Bullet Ride is that, its very comfortable. The bull is so stable and gives a great feeling when you are riding it. You dont feel stress and even if you are already stressed out then a long ride on bull is a complete Stress Buster!! You just need to sit down and relax and enjoy the moment
