Born 28 years ago, I had a passion for two-wheelers for as long as I can remember. During my school days, I used to borrow cycles (and later scooters) from my friends and zip through the narrow bylanes of my colony. We used to race around the colony roads and often dreamt of traveling on our motorcycles though forests, and through zigzag mountainous roads. I bought my first bike, a Hero Honda Ambition in 2003 soon after graduating from Dyal Singh College. Along with my friends Parmesh, Sreejith, Ajith, I have been undertaking long distance journeys – first into the nearby satellite towns, and later on to far-flung villages in UP and Uttaranchal (now Uttarakhand). 2004-05 was a lucky year for me, as I tied the knot with Tina, and formed my group Team456 – an association of like-minded individuals who shared a common passion – that of traveling, especially traveling on motor bikes. We have undertaken numerous trips since our inception, including three trips on the Delhi-Manali-Leh-Srinagar route, every bikers dream journey! My highpoint was my first Delhi-Leh trip, made on my trusted Hero Honda Ambition (a 135 cc bike, not exactly suited for such altitude and route!!). Despite making the same trip three times till now, I am filled with a sense of achievement after each trip, and eagerly look forward to the next year, when I undertake the journey again. I bought my Royal Enfield Electra 350cc in June 07. It had been my most cherished dream to traverse the Delhi-Leh on an Enfield, since I’ve always felt that it is the best bike to conquer the mountainous roads of the Delhi-Leh route. In September this year, my dream came true and I made the trip on my bullet. Besides three trips to Leh, we have undertaken journeys to Gangnani, Leh, Srinagar, Chopta, Dharamsala, Manali, Tehri, Munsiyari, Badrinath and Kedarnath.
