Overview

  • Design at Royal Enfield is an international effort, and as part of this diverse team, you will be working with colleagues in the UK and India to create evocative and meaningful experiences. We have a rich history as the longest continuously manufacturing motorcycle company, and a great expectation from our customers to steward that heritage into exceptional modern motorcycles.

Key responsibilities

  • As an Industrial Designer at Royal Enfield you will be influential in all stages of the development of new motorcycles and their accessories, from research and concept creation in 2D through to 3D surface development and supporting the Engineering team into production.
  • You will be expected to come up with creative solutions whilst adhering to brand strategy, packaging, ergonomic and timing constraints. You will be able to communicate proposals visually through sketches & 3D models and collaborate with other teams to ensure your design intent is followed through, both in the vehicle production as well as in supporting on-bike accessory creation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Transportation or Industrial Design
  • Preferably at least 9 to 11 years experience in an Automotive OEM or Independent Studio working with OEMs.
  • Experience in motorcycle accessory design and development is a plus
  • Strong sketching/ rendering skills, proficient in Photoshop.
  • 3D skills in Alias and/ or Rhino3D.
  • Working knowledge of rendering software (Keyshot, VRED)
  • A passion for motorcycles and familiarity with the motorcycle market.
  • Excellent team working ethic and an enthusiasm for cross-cultural experiences
  • Willingness to travel and work abroad.

Success metrics or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Provide 2D and 3D drawings and packages OTIF in relation to specific project deliverables.
  • Specific measurables will be defined within the project team.

Scope and Impact

  • Work as part of a small project team across a multiple projects.
  • Small budgetary responsibility reporting to ID Manager.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Transportation or Industrial Design
