Technical Administrator - Chassis

Role context and purpose
- To provide administration and project support to the Chassis function, ensuring the smooth operation of day to day activities, including budget management, NDA logging, event coordination and project support as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Drawing release administration, for all new drawings released from within UK Tech Centre:
- Checking drawings conform to process.
- Liaise with engineers to ensure corrections are made.
- Process the Design Release quickly and efficiently.
- Assist engineers with any system/process related queries.
- Update the master vehicle bill of materials.
- Organisation of parts and bike shipments:
- Organising shipping of controlled items.
- Collating and placing monthly part orders.
- Tracking progress of orders and deliveries.
- Assign and distribute the order to the responsible engineers.
- Finance related administration:
- Data entry into budget databases.
- Checking invoices before forwarding for payment
- Raising purchase orders through SAP.
- Prototype and pre-production parts related administration:
- Obtaining quotes from suppliers for prototype and pre-production parts.
- Prepare and submit excel-based expenditure request forms where required.
- Dealing with prototype suppliers for all queries, arranging deliveries and collections.
- Processing orders.
- 3D scanning and printing in house.
- Purchasing of Bikes:
- Obtaining quotes from suppliers.
- Prepare and submit excel-based expenditure request forms.
- Deal with suppliers for all queries, arranging deliveries and collection.
- Processing orders.
- General administration:
- Produce general operating procedures.
- May occasionally help prepare presentations on behalf of engineering teams.
- Typing letters, reports and issue sheets.
- General filing.
- Event Management:
- Organising quarterly company events.
- Liaise with suppliers for equipment/food orders.
- Purchasing of items.
- Coordinating with all employees.
- SAP:
- Ordering parts/materials/services through sap.
- Being a single point of contact for your team.
Success metrics of the role
- As a Technical administrator, you will be measured on objectives set and agreed to deliver goals and performance indicators, which may include:
- Drawing release
- Management of budgets
- Project support
Scope and Impact
- You will have a contributory role in the running of the chassis design and development department which will help to deliver a new motorcycle product.
- You will work across all levels of the business providing front of house support, liaising with key stakeholders within the business.
Network and stakeholders
- You will work within the Chassis Design Team
- You will report to the Team Manager, Lead Engineer or Project Engineer within the team
- You will work with teams across the organisation
Qualifications Experience and key Attributes
- Qualifications and Experience:
- GCSE Maths and English – Grade C minimum (or equivalent)
- IT literacy is essential experience on the G-suite platform is an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Good team working skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent organisational skills
- Past experience in a diverse and fast paced administration role.

- Flexible, ability to travel to other work locations including India as and when required.
