Requirements
- Must have a UK driving licence to commute into the office each day.
- Educational qualifications:
- A-level Maths and Physics
- Part way through degree level course or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline e.g. Mechanical Engineering.
- Desirable attributes:
- Experience with 3D CAD and 2D engineering drawings.
- Good knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
- Understanding of the design requirements for mass production manufacturing.
- Understanding and experience of 4 stroke motorcycle engines or similar.
Key Responsibilities
- Design systems and components for new and updated motorcycle engines and test rigs with regard to function, cost, manufacture, assembly and quality.
- Plan, perform and oversee tests on motorcycles, engines and components.
- Produce good quality 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings using Creo.
- Produce and present supporting documentation as required.
- Liaise with internal departments such as, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Test, Workshop and Assembly.
- Liaise with outside suppliers.
- Manage their own time and workload
