The Royal Enfield Himalayan Odyssey is an iconic motorcycling journey that first began in 1997. Conceived as an ultimate test of human endurance and machine reliability at the time, it was established to celebrate the spirit of exploration and the long-standing connection between Royal Enfield and the rugged landscapes of the Himalayas.
In 2024, the Odyssey marked its 20th milestone edition, seeing over 100 riders tackle an expansive 3,000 km journey. This year was particularly significant as it introduced participants to the Zanskar Valley and the Siachen Base Camp. By 2025, the 21st edition evolved into a multi-route format, splitting riders into Team Spiti and Team Zanskar. This allowed for deeper penetration into remote regions, covering 2,600 km of diverse terrain.
In 2026, Himalayan Odyssey makes further headway into the heart of the upper Himalayas in India. This year, you have the opportunity to experience the true saga in its purest form, which is a 16-day journey through the mystic realms of Ladakh and Zanskar; or pick Himalayan Odyssey Explore for a deeper dive into the maze of high passes for a little extra character; or choose between the Nubra Circuit and the Kargil Circuit for a shorter but equally immersive spirit of the Odyssey.
Four routes, Three editions, one promise: whichever path you choose, the Himalayan Odyssey will not just change the way you ride, it will change the way you see yourself when you step off the motorcycle.
