Stay away from alloy wheels

Looking at many other bikes, and their decent look, I also decided to go for harley type alloy wheels on my TBTS 350 2014 model.
Got those fitted for 9000 + tubeless tyres for 6000
Believe me, it is a waste of money. While riding at a speed of 60-70, I went over a pot hole in road not more than 2-3 inches deep.
Fuel tank was full. I agree that it was enough to scare any rider but surely not the bike.
Alloys got bent on the RIM edge near tyre and cracked in one of the spoke. Dealer is ready to give replacement under warranty but not he money back.
Why would i get the alloys if those are not reliable? If this is the condition on road, I cant even imagine a off road ride on those.
I am back to my original spokes again.

Guys, stay away from these after market alloys. Those are just for looks and cannot handle the weight of this beast.

thanks for the feedback man..

thank you for saving me man

Tank you very much.

hi thanks for the feedback . However the harley are heavier then a TB , if the alloys can take that weight then TB should be easy . Maybe it was a defective piece !!

Maybe it is because Harleys are fitted with their company manufactured alloys whereas in RE, we are fitting alloys manufactured by others which may not be having the HD level of quality.

Hello George, My name is Paul & I am looking at getting my 1st RE Classic soon. I am wondering if the Thunderbolt X stock alloy wheels will fit onto a 2018 Classic Chrome 500cc Model? Thank you Paul in Milwaukee
