Soak in the stars ! In this edition of the Astral Ride Spiti we will ride to locations in the Himalayas that are ideal for Astrophotography. Learn the nuances of photography while on the go. This ride aims to take all budding travel photographers on a guided tour of the landscapes and beauty that is the Spiti Valley. The tour aims to take motorcycle enthusiasts who are very interested in travel photography on a ride to further their interests with the whole canvas of the night sky for the taking !

Day 01
Take the time to know the other riders who will be with you for the next 7 days. You could also get some interesting pointers from the RE team during Bike scrutiny which could help you take care of your motorcycle during the ride. This is the day when you check-in to your hotel in Shimla. In the evening there will be a briefing to make sure that all understand the basic principles of riding together as a team in the mountains.
Day 02
The ride commences as it gets flagged off from Shimla. Once we reach our destination for the day there will be a briefing done by Mr. Navneet Unnikrishnan on Astrophotography. This will be the start of the Astral ride.
Day 03
A ride to Kaza which is at 12467 ft above msl. This will be the base for the Astral ride where we will have our first night shoot.
Day 04
The first day in Kaza where participants can have a relaxed day exploring the town and a night shoot in and around the beautiful town of Kaza with a visit to Key Monastery.
Day 05
Stay in Kaza with a night shoot in Langza. Participants can explore Kaza during the day.
Day 06
The final day in Kaza with a night shoot in Dhankar and the beautiful Pin Valley.
Day 07
After fair weather all these days, we ride to Manali from Kaza through one of the more adventurous routes this part of the Himalayas has to offer.
Day 08
On the final day, you ride back towards the plains to reach Chandigarh where the ride comes to an end. And with that, a lifelong pursuit of exploration begins in every rider. The end of an Epic Ride is marked by Certificate Distribution and a small celebration.
Day 09
This day you would check out of the hotel and start your journey back to your homes.
On the first edition of Royal Enfield's Astral Ride, aspiring photographers from around the country rode across the Himalayas to the Indian Astrological Observatory at Hanle in Ladakh astride their Himalayan to learn the nuances of astrophotography from master astral photographer Navaneeth Unnikrishnan for an experience that became a melting pot of passions.
On 4th September and 25th September, two rides began out of Leh - Astral Ride Zanskar and Astral Ride Changthang - taking riders across Ladakh in search of the perfect night skies to shoot.
