The collaboration between Royal Enfield and Blue Tokai kicked off with a ride across acres of lush green estates, crisp blue skies, and wide open roads. This special edition of Uncover was all about cruising off on an immersive journey with Blue Tokai through one of the best coffee estates in India. Uncovering the process of coffee-making firsthand with the experts, from picking to washing to brewing a fresh, hot cup.
The riders embark on their journey from Bangalore to MSP Gowri estates nestled in the valleys of Salem. Riding through brilliant highways and cruising along beautiful ghat sections they reach their home for the next two days to uncover the world of specialty coffee.
The day begins with a tour of the farm and the history of coffee in India. The riders experience ripe cherry picking firsthand and explore the varieties of coffee plants. This is followed by a visit to processing units where the picked coffee cherries eventually become ready to brew. Cherries are sorted, pulped, washed, fermented and are finally ready to be roasted.
On the last day the riders complete the cycle from crop to cup as they treat their palate to diverse flavours of coffee in a cupping session with roasters from Blue Tokai. With the journey of coffee uncovered, they depart on their journey back to Bangalore.
