Participate in the introductory briefing, where the route and safety protocols are discussed, setting the tone for an epic adventure ahead.
Day 2
Begin your ride with sweeping views of Assam’s lush floodplains, tracing the contours of the Brahmaputra River. The route offers a smooth tarmac experience with glimpses of rural life and verdant landscapes. Arrive at Kaziranga National Park, famous globally for its thriving one-horned rhino population.
Day 3
Ride eastward into Assam’s tea heartland. The lush plantation vistas and serene river scenes punctuate this stretch, challenging riders with rolling terrain and occasional broken roads. Reach Dibrugarh, known as the ‘Tea City of India’, where authentic Assamese culture and hospitality greet you.
Day 4
Cross into Arunachal Pradesh, transitioning from plains to hills with winding roads and scenic river crossings. The ride builds in elevation, bringing crisp mountain air and panoramic views. The ride shifts to subtropical valleys crossing diverse tribal homelands. This long day involves varied terrain including dirt tracks and tarmac, providing contrasts in riding experience. Reach Namsai to immerse in Tai Khamti and Singpho traditions, from serene meditation sessions at the Golden Pagoda.
Day 9
Entering Nagaland’s steep hills, encounter road conditions that mix rougher paths with scenic elevation gains. Mon introduces the fierce, proud Konyak tribe, tattooed warriors renowned for headhunting lore. Experience tribal markets, and potent local cuisine characterized by smoked pork and fermented bamboo shoots.
Day 10
Cross the unique border village of Longwa, where the Konyak chief’s house physically straddles India and Myanmar. Engage with tribal elders, absorbing oral histories and witnessing crafts that have remained unchanged for centuries. Continue to historic Sivasagar, known for its Ahom-era monuments and cultural treasures.
