Job Purpose

  • The role of Marketing Manager - EV will be responsible for leading the development and performance of marketing campaigns for EV businesses & products to achieve revenue and profitability targets and drive brand-led growth. The incumbent will create campaigns, utilizing all marketing channels that deliver on strategic objectives related to brand awareness, consideration, trial, and sales; collaborate with other marketing colleagues to establish and track marketing KPIs for the business and measure and analyze the impact of marketing initiatives to continuously improve the marketing efficiencies and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-develop the annual marketing plan for EV business while keeping in view the target customer segments [existing and prospects], marketing budget and overall business plan
  • Develop and manage marketing campaigns while keeping in view the demographics, preferences, purchasing behavior, styles etc. of the target customer segments and leverage analytics/ CRM to drive campaign messaging and visual content
  • Establish KPI measurements to support the annual marketing plan’s objectives and gain alignment across marketing channels
  • Track KPI performance against the plan and report insights on this performance by analyzing data and obtaining feedback from the channel marketers, sales teams, and dealers. These insights should provide input to future plans in that channel (social media, email, events, etc.)
  • Define the media plan and channel strategy for all campaigns and obtain necessary inputs and approvals to launch each campaign
  • Lead various marketing initiatives/ campaigns and work with different teams internally and externally (agencies) to achieve objectives
  • Work with dealers and sales teams to understand barriers to purchase for the consumer and best ways to execute programs and promotions at the retail/dealer level
  • You will establish a process for tracking and monitoring campaign milestones in order to provide pre and post campaign reporting analysis and recommend next steps
  • Project lead for new business initiatives, building a project plan with milestones, timelines, and resource needs. You will ensure the project is implemented on time, on budget, and aligned to the objective.
  • Ensure Effectiveness and efficiency of the Campaign/ Program (Ex: impressions, website traffic, click-thru rate, leads generated, engagement, etc)
  • Adherence to spend plans vis-à-vis budgets for the market, correlated to targeted consumer/business funnel impact against those spends

Qualification, Experience and Certification – Selection Criteria

Education

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree (Full Time) - Marketing , Communications or related streams

Preferred

  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) - Marketing / Advertising / Communications

Experience

Essential

  • 8-10 years of overall experience (motorcycle / auto / consumer-focused industry) with Min 3 years of experience as a marketing manager with an EV setup
  • Experience of working in US Market
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • Proven experience in implementing customer-lead campaigns to promote brand awareness, consideration, or sales conversion.
  • Experience and understanding of how to build campaigns across multiple channels including, but not limited to, events, paid media, paid search, social media, and email.
  • Deep understanding of how to develop customer personas through consumer research, CRM data insights, and macro-economic trends.
  • Passion and experience for identifying barriers to purchase and solutions to overcome them
  • Strong bias for action with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage marketing plans (both ON TIME and IN FULL) even in high pressure situations
  • Strong problem solving skills and have the ability to work independently on programs and initiatives
  • Experience of working with agency/ partners, exhibiting the ability to generate maximum return through effective marketing plans and direction
